At one point in time, I was the third generation to be running my family’s regional distribution business. I was a Senior Vice President, and I was incredibly invested in my career.
Even as a six figure executive, I still didn’t feel in control.
As a single mother, I’d often have to leave early in the morning before my son woke up, and only got to spend about an hour with him in the evenings when I got home before he went back to bed. The most I ever got to see him was through my home’s security camera system while I’d watch him play with our au pair.
Every single day, this broke my heart. I knew this wasn’t normal, but I kept pushing on. I didn’t feel I had a choice.
One day I decided to add up the number of hours I spent in a car commuting, while I paid our au pair to watch him. It added up to twenty hours.
I was paying someone a part-time salary so I could go to my full time job. It’s no wonder I felt like I had no control!
This ate away at me for years. During this time I had entertained the thought of starting my own business, but never took action on it. That is… until I had a pivotal life moment.
Pivotal life moments are the ones that happen throughout our lives where life after the event is always very different than life before. Job losses, divorce, losing a loved one, a health crisis, are all events that magically inspire radical change in many.
For me, the pain of losing someone to suicide as enough for me to finally wake up and decide enough is enough! Time for me to live my life the way I wanted to, and take back that control I’ve always strived for.

Q. How long does the program take?
Create & Validate was designed to help aspiring entrepreneurs get their new business off the ground, even while working a full-time job.
It's a 6 week training and coaching program. You can expect to be spending around 3 hours per week taking the online training modules, and participating in the group coaching calls. Participants rarely have any challenges juggling the program work with their other life responsibilities.
If you reguarly find time to surf the web and watch YouTube tutorials... you'll have plenty of time to not only complete the program, but land your first client in six weeks.
Q. What do I get as part of Create & Validate?
You receive a weekly online training module, which you'll complete before the scheduled group coaching call that week. During the call we discuss your findings from the training as well as how you plan to execute on what is taught. You also receive access to the exclusive Create & Validate Facebook Group, where you can connect with myself and other program participants and graduates. That's where you'll get questions answered by me inbetween coaching calls, as well as solicit feedback and advice from your peers.
Q. Will I need to pay for anything else besides this program?
Because Create & Validate focuses on low and no cost marketing strategies, you will not need to make any additional investments on things like websites, social media content, or paid ads to get results. In fact, I rarely recommend you make investments into business assets until you've validated your business through landing your first customer!
Q. How will this coaching program help me get my first paying client in six weeks?
The sales and marketing strategies taught in this program are action focused, as opposed to many programs which are content creation focused. Content takes a long time to create, perfect, and build an audience. An effective sales conversation with a target client can happen as soon as the contact and connection has been made, completely bypassing this process. What you'll learn in Create & Validate is very much a hybrid between both traditional business networking and social media networking. It's focused on outbound communication strategies vs. waiting for inbound communications from ideal clients.
Q. How are the sessions structured?
Each group coaching call is structured as follows: After a quick introduction, we'll have a round robin where participants share any challenges they encountered while completing the training module of the week, their most valuable takeaways, and recent program wins. Once completed, we complete another round robin where participants share their most valuable takeaway from the coaching call. Lastly, we close with what to expect regarding the training for the following week, as well as best practices to make it successful and productive.
Q. Is this program offered as a private coaching program?
Create & Validate was originally designed as a group coaching program due to the camaraderie participants experience connecting with other aspiring entrepreneurs. Group participants really value having the safe space to be able to test out their ideas, utilizing their peers as a focus group, prior to making them public.
However, some individuals don't feel comfortable in groups, or don't want to wait for the next group enrollment date to start their program. With this in mind I do sometimes offer it through my private coaching if I have space available. For more information and to apply, click here.
